Privacy notice

Last updated: October 2026

This notice explains what happens to information about you when you visit smallseedlabs.com, including when you comment on a product page or register interest in collaborating. The website is run by Small Seed Labs, which is responsible for (the "controller" of) the personal data described here. You can contact us at admin@smallseedlabs.com.

At a glance

  • No cookies

This website does not set cookies or use local storage.

  • No analytics or tracking

No analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts are loaded.

  • Only what you submit

We only collect personal data you choose to send through a product page's discussion or collaboration form.

Hosting and security logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is standard for any website. It is processed under our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable site. Cloudflare acts as our processor; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Product discussion and collaboration forms

Each product page can have a Discussion area and a Collaborate form. They exist so people can help shape our products, on the product or the technical side, and to build a community around each product.

What we collect

  • Comments: the name you enter, your comment, the product it relates to, the time it was posted, and a one-way hash of your IP address. Comments are reviewed before they are published. Once approved, your name and comment are visible to everyone.
  • Collaboration interest: your name, email address, how you would like to help (product, engineering, design, domain expertise or other), the area or skills you mention, your optional note, your consent, the product and the time you sent it, and a one-way hash of your IP address.

We hash IP addresses with a secret key and use the hash only to limit spam and abuse (for example, too many submissions in a few minutes). We do not store your raw IP address in these records. Email addresses are never shown on the website.

Why, and our lawful basis

  • We use collaboration details only to contact you about collaborating on the product you chose. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • We publish comments because you asked us to, as part of an open product discussion. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the comment.
  • Hashed IP addresses are processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of spam and abuse.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database operated by Cloudflare on our behalf. Only people who moderate the community can see them. We don't sell or share this data, and we don't use it for advertising or to train AI models.

How long we keep it

  • Collaboration interest: up to 24 months after you send it, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner.
  • Comments: for as long as the product discussion is online, or until you ask us to remove them. Comments that are not approved are deleted within 90 days.
  • IP hashes are kept with the record they belong to and deleted with it.

Deleting or changing your data

To ask us to remove a comment, delete your collaboration details, or exercise any of your other rights, email admin@smallseedlabs.com and tell us which product page and name you used. You can also message us in our Discord community if you prefer. You don't need to join any platform to make a request. We'll respond within one month.
